1. Releases the Exterior and Expels Wind
- Exterior Wind-Cold (aversion to cold, fever, headache and body ache) or Wind-Heat (aversion to cold, fever, headache and sore throat)
- Exterior Wind-Cold with headache and nasal congestion
- Chills, fever, no sweating and body ache
2. Vents rashes and Alleviates itching
- Initial stages of measles
- Wind rash (itching) and eczema
3. Stops bleeding (charred form)
- Haemorrhage, epistaxis (nose bleeding), blood in the stools, uterine bleeding
Dosage (raw herb)
- 3 -10g. Not recommended to be cooked for long periods of time.
Precautions
- Contraindicated in Endogeneous Liver-Wind patterns and fully erupted measles and sores
